Personal Loan Telecalling Script in English, From Greeting to Next Step
Use this personal loan telecalling script when you ring people who asked about a loan. Each line has a purpose, and each answer has a place to go in The Auto Dialer.
Personal loan telecalling script structure
A personal loan telecalling script has six stages: greeting, enquiry check, permission, eligibility questions, documents and next step. The order matters. Confirming the enquiry first tells the customer why you are calling and filters out wrong numbers in seconds. Asking permission before the questions keeps the call polite. The eligibility questions come before any talk of amounts or rates, because a telecaller who quotes a number before knowing the income is making a promise the lender may not keep. The call should end with one concrete step, a pickup slot, a branch visit or an online form, said back to the customer. New callers who want the basics first can read what is telecalling. Indian telecallers also work against a clock: under TRAI's changes notified on 18 September 2026, an enquiry made in writing or online remains a basis for commercial calls for no longer than 7 days, so ring fresh enquiries on the day they land. This is general information, not legal advice.
Personal loan telecalling script opening lines
- Greeting. "Good morning, am I speaking with [customer name]? This is [your name] calling from [company name]."
- Enquiry check. "You filled a form on our website yesterday about a personal loan. Is that right?"
- Permission. "I need about five minutes to check what you may be eligible for. Is now a good time, or shall I call at a time that suits you?"
If the answer is "later", fix a time on the spot: "Shall I call at 6 this evening?" Set the reminder while you are still speaking, so the alarm rings at 6 whatever else happens in the day; how those alarms behave is explained in the call reminder app guide. If the person did not make an enquiry, apologise, end the call and mark the number so it is not dialled again.
Eligibility questions in a personal loan telecalling script
| Question to ask | Why you ask it | Where to note it |
|---|---|---|
| "Are you salaried or self-employed?" | Lenders treat the two differently, and the document list changes | Custom field: employment type |
| "Roughly what is your monthly take-home income?" | Most lenders set a minimum income for personal loans | Custom field: monthly income |
| "Which company do you work for, or what is your business?" | Some lenders list approved employers or business types | Custom field: employer or business |
| "Do you pay any EMIs at the moment?" | Existing repayments reduce how much more can be borrowed | Remark, with the monthly total |
| "Which city do you live in?" | Lenders and pickup teams serve set locations | Custom field: city, or a GPS location field |
| "How much do you need, and for what?" | Matches the request to a suitable product | Product attached to the lead, with the requirement |
Ask one question at a time and wait for the answer. Voice input lets you speak the answer into the field instead of typing it during the call.
Personal loan telecalling script for documents
"Based on what you have told me, you can apply. The lender will need a few documents: proof of identity, proof of address, income proof such as salary slips, and recent bank statements. I will send the exact list on WhatsApp now." Read the list your lender actually gives you, not a general one; requirements differ between lenders and products. In The Auto Dialer, a saved template with the checklist attached goes out in one tap.
Objection replies in a personal loan telecalling script
- "The interest rate is too high." "I understand. The final rate is set by the lender after checking your profile. Once the documents are in, you will see the offer before you accept anything." Best for: early price worries.
- "Is this a fraud call?" "That is a fair question. My name is [your name] and I am with [company name]; you can call this number back or check our office address. I will never ask you for an OTP, PIN or password." Best for: building trust in the first minute.
- "I will think about it." "Of course. Shall I call you on Friday, after you have seen the document list?" Best for: undecided customers.
- "I already got a loan elsewhere." "Congratulations, and thank you for telling me. I will close your enquiry." Best for: ending cleanly, with the status set.
Personal loan telecalling script closing lines
"So we have agreed: our executive will collect the documents tomorrow at 11 at your office in Gomti Nagar. You will get a WhatsApp message with the list now. Is there anything else I can help with?" Then set the status to Pickup booked and transfer the lead to the field executive. Customers who go quiet after this call need different words, which you will find in our follow up call script; the whole desk workflow is on the loan telecalling page.
Personal loan telecalling script example
One imaginary telecaller's morning, rounded for easy maths; not a real person's numbers.
A telecaller in Lucknow starts the day with 60 new personal loan enquiries from the previous evening's ad forms. With the dialer moving from one number to the next, she reaches 40 of them by lunch. Say 15 pass the eligibility questions and want to go ahead: 15 document lists go out on WhatsApp and 10 pickups are booked for the next two days. Ten people ask for a callback, each with an alarm set. The 20 she did not reach get one retry after the list, still well inside the 7-day enquiry window.
Personal loan telecalling script limits
This script is for calling people who enquired or applied. It is not for cold-calling purchased data: in India, TRAI does not allow an ordinary mobile number to be used for telemarketing, and promotional calls belong on the 140 series. The detail is on auto dialer rules in India. The script cannot promise approval, and no line in it should. It is also in English only; teams calling in Hindi, Tamil or other languages should translate it rather than read it word for word. During a call The Auto Dialer displays the borrower's current stage and your most recent note, never script text, and it never plays a recording. The same call shape works in other fields, as the telecalling script for education and telecalling for real estate pages show. For more ways to open and steer a call, see the general cold calling tips.
Personal loan telecalling script FAQ
11 questions, answered
Which dialer suits a personal loan telecalling script?
The Auto Dialer fits this script stage for stage: its call screen names the enquiry and repeats your last note, custom fields catch each eligibility answer, and the after-call sheet books the pickup or callback before the next number rings.
Does The Auto Dialer come with a personal loan telecalling script?
The script is on this page, not inside the app. The Auto Dialer has no on-screen script panel; it gives you the lead record, custom fields for eligibility answers, saved WhatsApp templates for the document list, and reminders for every callback you promise.
What should a telecaller say for a personal loan?
Introduce yourself and your company, mention the enquiry the person made, ask whether it is a good time, then ask the eligibility questions one at a time. Explain the documents, agree one next step and repeat it back. Never promise approval or a rate the lender has not confirmed.
Can you get a personal loan over the phone?
The call can start the process: eligibility questions, a document list and a booked pickup or online application. The lender still checks the documents and credit before any approval. A genuine telecaller never asks for an OTP, PIN or password on the call.
Is there a personal loan telecalling script in Hindi?
Only an English version is written here. Translate each line into the language your borrowers speak, keeping the order and the honesty rules unchanged. The Auto Dialer itself runs in more than 40 languages, chosen from a picker inside the app.
How do you sell a personal loan on a call?
Treat it as helping someone who already asked: confirm the enquiry, understand what the money is for, check eligibility and explain the steps plainly. The sale comes from a clear document list and an easy next step, never from quoting a rate or amount the lender has not confirmed.
Which documents does a salaried personal loan applicant usually need?
Lenders commonly ask salaried applicants for identity and address proof, recent salary slips and bank statements, but every lender sets its own list. Read out the checklist your lender gives you and send it on WhatsApp during the call, so the customer can start collecting papers straight away.
What changes in the script for a self-employed applicant?
The eligibility questions move from salary to business: what the business does, how long it has traded and how its income is shown. The paperwork changes too, since lenders usually want business and income records instead of salary slips. Note employment type first so the right checklist goes out.
Do lenders call your employer for a personal loan?
Some lenders verify employment, which can include a call to the employer, and practice varies from lender to lender. A telecaller should not guess: tell the customer the lender may verify the details given and will explain its own checks, and never promise that no verification will happen.
How should I follow up a loan enquiry that stops answering?
Space the attempts: one retry after the list that day, a WhatsApp message with the document checklist, then a reminder for a call two or three days later. Note each try in a remark. If several attempts fail, close the enquiry politely instead of ringing every hour.
How can a customer tell a personal loan call is genuine?
Give your full name, your company and the enquiry the customer made, and invite them to ring back on the number they see. A genuine loan call never asks for an OTP, PIN, password or an upfront fee for approval. Say so early, because fraud worries many borrowers.
